Disciplinaries

Disciplinary procedures provide a clear framework to deal with difficulties which arise in the course of employment. They are necessary to ensure everyone is treated in the same way in the same circumstances. They also ensure that issues are dealt with fairly and reasonably and that they are complaint with current legislation. There are two main areas where disciplinaries are used - capability/performance and conduct. Normally, action is taken via firstly a letter, then a meeting and, if necessary, an appeal.
